German Shepherds are a big part of what we do. Dog shows are a small part. We used to always say that if the dog shows ever got to the point where they weren't fun anymore, we'd get out. That happened - twice. But as Michael Corleone said, "Every time I try to get out, they keep pulling me back in." The beautiful German Shepherds are the magnet. So now we occasionally compete and try not to get attached to the results, win or lose. In ancient China, temple dogs were often used to guard temples. Our neighbors are all friendly south Texas farmers, so we don't need much guarding. Mostly our dogs just run around having fun and making work for us. In return for our labors, they give us unconditional love, loyalty, and never-ending amusement. Not a bad deal. Occasionally we have a litter of puppies that we try to place with people who will make them part of their family. Contact us if you're looking for a pup. If we don't have any, we'll try to help you find one from a reputable breeder. Below are some photos of our current Temple Dogs. Some of them are getting old, like us. A few of them are young "show prospects." Maybe they'll turn out to be "stars," or maybe they won't. No matter. They're all perfect just as they are, and they get to run free and enjoy their lives every day. |
